Rimba Collective helps Dove meet its forest conservation goals

21 Jul 2023 - Press Releases

Since its launch in 2021, the Rimba Collective has been working hard to accelerate forest protection and restoration in Southeast Asia through long-term partnerships with leading global consumer goods companies.

Today, Dove announced its collaboration with the Rimba Collective as part of the Dove Nature Regeneration Project, which is funded through Unilever’s Climate & Nature Fund. Through their involvement in the Rimba Collective, Dove is working with us to protect and restore 123,000 acres (49,776 ha) of rainforest in Southeast Asia over five years.

There are currently seven projects within the Rimba Collective that are managed by on-the-ground project operators working directly with NGOs, local communities and governments. Each project is designed to deliver positive ecosystem outcomes over 30 years.

Altogether, the Rimba Collective aims to mobilize US$1 billion to protect and restore 500,000 hectares of forest and improve the livelihoods of 32,000 people in Southeast Asia over 30 years. We are currently on track to achieve 200,000 hectares by the end of 2023.

Our collaboration with Dove is a strong signal of the progress our collective is making toward our long-term goals of restoring landscapes, protecting habitats, and supporting livelihoods, as well as helping global consumer good brands meet their sustainability commitments.
